The year 2007 was highlighted by the alliance between the Gad Group, the Pig Division of the Cecab Group and the breeders Prestor.

The Cecab Pig Cooperative
In 2007, the Cecab cooperative pig production reached 807.000 pigs, an increase of 7.5% in comparison with 2006.

The CECAB and Prestor cooperative have a total of:

• 680 breeder members
• 98.000 sows
• 2.200.000 pigs marketed

The Prestor/Cecab Union
Since the 1^st January, 2008, the 90 employees of the cooperative have integrated into a new structure, the Prestor/Cecab Union.

• Herd management advice
• Veterinary advice and quality monitoring
• Advice on the environment
• Building advice
• Provision of services and equipment
